We have been involved with two incredible organizations, Mission Mercy and Baan Dek Foundation, which share a common mission: transforming lives and empowering communities through holistic support. Their work in education, healthcare, housing, and spiritual care has created sustainable improvements for families in extreme poverty, ensuring children remain with their families rather than being separated. Additional details can be found below.

Any donations made will be divided equally between these two organizations and donated in our names, extending your kindness to touch even more lives. • Mission Mercy, led by Alexander’s uncle, Father Christopher, has transformed lives around the world through education, healthcare, housing, and spiritual support. Past projects in the Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, and South Sudan empowered underserved communities by providing clean water via restoring wells, rebuilding schools, clinics, and churches, and launching initiatives such as the Tamara Project, which supported women and children escaping exploitation. These efforts brought hope and stability to regions devastated by poverty and conflict.

Alexander had the opportunity to volunteer with Mission Mercy in Ethiopia, where he saw firsthand the profound impact of this work on the lives of those it serves. Today, Mission Mercy is focused on new initiatives in Mexico, providing essential healthcare and education to underserved communities. We are honoured to support Mission Mercy as part of our celebration.

  • Baan Dek Foundation has spent over two decades improving the lives of vulnerable children from migrant families in Thailand. Many of these families live in extreme poverty, often in mobile construction site camps without access to basic services such as education, healthcare, or safe housing. Children often face dangerous living conditions, lack awareness of basic safety rules, and miss out on essential care as parents are forced to prioritize earning income over childcare. Baan Dek addresses these challenges through targeted programs, offering education, healthcare access, life skills training, and child protection services to ensure children can thrive while remaining with their families.

This cause holds special meaning for Martina, who has volunteered with Baan Dek Foundation multiple times and served as a long-standing board member of its France chapter. Her contributions include supporting the expansion of their social enterprise initiatives, which empower women to gain employment through vocational training in areas such as sewing, cooking, and handicrafts, providing a pathway to stability. Martina also spearheaded the creation of an educational partnership in Paris, which continues to provide support today.
